I SEE in your paper that the police are to clamp down on speeding.
I'm all in favour except for one point; how about the police first setting a better example, and targeting the bad drivers in their own ranks?
When did we last see a police car driver prosecuted for fast or bad driving when they had not actually caused an accident?
As in any organisation the reputation of the majority can be spoilt by a minority. In the police force there seems to be an element that consider themselves above the law, use any excuse to drive like teenage tearaways and can't even park a car, but appear to abandon it when they arrive at journey's end.
Marks & Spencer have plates on their vehicles Well driven? if not ring such a number. Might I suggest that if the police really wish to improve standards, that they try the same idea.
