I READ with interest your article (Star, September 30) about the Boat Regatta at Taylor Park.
I am a member of one of the model boat clubs invited to the occasion. All the participating club members had a brilliant day, as your photograph showed. The write-up was very good but failed to mention the St Helens Model Boat Club, without whom the show would not have taken place.
They work hard throughout the year to put such shows on for the public and invited clubs. It's also good publicity for the park. It therefore seems unfair that it's their show and they never got a mention. They sail every Sunday at Taylor Park so it's not just a one-off occasion. Hopefully in the future this could be put right.
