WE are writing on behalf of Lancaster District Council for Voluntary Service (Lancaster CVS) and The Fairfield Association to thank your newspaper and all those people who supported the auction of goods and promises in aid of local charities which we held in Lancaster Town Hall on Saturday 2 October.
In total we raised more than £2,000 for local charities. We could not have done this without the generous support of those who made donations, gave us publicity, helped us arrange the auction and bought the items on offer. You are too numerous to mention individually, but thank you one and all.
Ann Tomlinson, John Westhead and Mick Short, on behalf of Lancaster CVS and the Fairfield Association.
