AN Astley mum is devastated that no-one is to be prosecuted following the death of her 30-years-old disabled son in a council nursing home.
For 15 months Mrs Brenda Rowley, of Whimbrel Road, Astley, has been fighting a mission for justice for Malcolm who drowned in his bath at his Eccles care home.
She claims her son, who could not walk or talk, should not have been left, and will fight on to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding his death.
She was informed last week that the Crown Prosecution Service would be taking no action in the case.
But battling Brenda has vowed to fight on.
She has already written to the CPS asking it to review the decision.
And she is to meet Service representatives in Salford on November 9.
Brenda said: "I have hit barriers all the way, but I shall keep on going.
"Fighting for Malcolm has taken over my life, but I will go on to try and find some satisfaction."
An inquest is expected to take place within the next eight weeks.
