TEN of Preston's top businessmen and women were thrown behind bars this week, until they found enough cash to bail them out.
But the suspects, pictured with PC Craig Appleton, who were frog-marched to Preston Police Station after being arrested at their workplace, were prisoners of conscience - they had agreed to the stunt to raise money for Age Concern!
Organised by Age Concern Preston and South Ribble District, the 'jail and bail' event raised around £8,000.
Each person arrested was bailed for £500.
Inspector Michael Whitehead said: "This is a marvellous opportunity to show our support for an innovative initiative.
"Two officers have volunteered to carry out the 'arrests' in their own time."
