Ulverston 21 Portico Panthers 30 PANTHERS maintained their 100 per cent league record in hostile conditions.
They powered their way to an early 10-nil lead with tries from Neil Kearns and Giassone Del Farro, with Craig Peel adding a conversion.
But the Cumbrians hit back strongly to take an 11-10 interval lead.
The second half was a physical, forward-dominated battle. And Portico took the lead when Arthur Bradshaw powered his way over from dummy half and Peel added the extras.
Minutes later Peel broke through and scored in the corner. His conversion put Portico firmly in the driving seat.
And the gaem was made safe when Lee Haggerty finished a set-piece move. Peel converted.
Best for Portico were Arthur Bradshaw, Neil Kearns and Dave Lee. Top tackler was Arthur Penney.

Others in form were Jimmy Hampson, Matthew Metcalf, Stephen Swift and Philip Carr.
