IN the beginning there was Three Mile Island, then came Windscales, Chernobyl and China - where next, Heysham and Salwick?
We, the people, were lied to about nuclear electricity. We were told it would be cheap - it is not.
We were told it was safe - it is not.
When the cost of decommissioning and of the disposing of nuclear waste with a radioactive half-life of 24,000 years is reckoned in the price of the nuclear kilowatt hour, it is the most expensive and dangerous unit of electricity ever generated.
With the demon of the impromptu nuclear reaction so readily invoked, dangerous is perhaps too mild a word.
Tobacco, meat, the EU, GM foodstuffs, nuclear power - we the people have been persistently lied to about all these things and, as though that were not bad enough, we have been cheated out of our money so that cliques with vested interests in these agents of ruin and death might make huge profits.
Successive governments of both major parties, composed of our elected representatives, have consistently colluded in this deceit for reasons best known to the members of these governments, but which may be easily inferred by all but the dimmest of Her Majesty's subjects.
Only the British National Party puts people before profits and only the BNP would administer Britain to the benefit of all Her Majesty's subjects and not, as the other parties do, act as agents for influential factions first and act as the guardians of Her Majesty's subjects last.
