GRANGE Park GC members James Ball and Brian Coaley acheived a lifetime's ambition when they played the Old Course, St Andrews.
They finished fourth in the international final of the Famous Grouse Shotgun Foursomes.
Now in its 15th year, the event attracts almost 100,000 golfers at 856 clubs.
So it was a great effort by the local men as they returned a net 78 in testing conditions.
The winners were Chris Shaw and Damian Etchingham, from Lutterworth GC, with 76.
