IF you've seen some Asda bakers in Bury driving a plush Jaguar lately, it was not because they were making too much dough!
For the employees attached to the company's Spring Street store were given free, personal use of the company car.
Asda extended the use of the Jag to the store in recognition of its achievement in a North West-wide in-store "bakers dozen" incentive to increase sales of sliced bread.
And the Bury store led the way and set a pace which all other Asda supermarkets had to follow.
To mark the Bury store's achievement, the company's Jaguar rolled up outside Spring Street on Wednesday.
The vehicle was at the disposal of the bakery staff for five days.
There was a double celebration for department manager Steve Higginbottom - he also won a weekend holiday.
