MICHAEL White will be spreading his own kind of magic at the latest Michelle and Friends charity show at Southport Theatre this weekend.
The 20-year-old professional magician from Holly Road, Haydock, is currently entertaining passengers on the Brittany Ferries crossings where he has a nightly cabaret spot.
Michael's talent was first highlighted in the Star's very own 'Young Stars of Tomorrow' competition in which he finished runner-up and he went on to star in several other similar events before turning professional two years ago.
His mum, Maureen told the Star: "Michael took up magic when he was about seven and took to it straight away. He decided to make it his career when he finished his studies at college - he is actually qualified in business and finance which is useful now that he is working for himself. He loves his job on the boat and he has already travelled all over the country putting on shows. I am really proud of him."
Michael will be back on dry land briefly this weekend when he appears at Southport Theatre on Friday, October 29 as part of the Michelle and Friends charity extravaganza, organised by Rainhill teenager, Michelle Lewis to raise money for Alder Hey Hospital.
Tickets for the show can be book from Southport Theatre box office on 01704 540404.
