LOCAL body building fanatics flexed their muscles in the first Mr & Miss North West Manchester Show.
The event at Atherton's Formby Hall was a rippling success with more than 300 spectators cheering on the competitors.
Contestants from Leigh, Atherton, Warrington and Bolton battled for the top titles with Atherton's Kath Hoggitt snatching the ladies' overall title.
The event was organised by Stuart Cosgrove and Carole Murphy of Cosgrove's Physio-Fit Centre in Atherton, and their competitors included Paul Jeune (juniors) Pat Lewarne, Steven Culshaw and Mel Cain (seniors), Tracy Ince, Kim Childs and Kath Hoggitt (Miss).
