He hit five goals in Saturday's 9-0 win at Hag Fold WMC to close in on Neil Clayton at the top of the League Hotshots.
Clayton added one at the weekend to take his tally to 20, now just two ahead of Spencer.
Also on target at Hag Fold were Alan Hodgkins 2, Gary Nugent and Tony O'Neill.
Mick Blakeley joined Clayton the scoresheet for Division One leaders Higher Fold LC for their 2-0 win against third-placed Leigh Phoenix.
Leigh Three Crowns scored a slender 1-0 win against AFC Limelight, Peter Shepherd's strike so decisive.
Bowling Green Eagles and bottom club Angel shared four goals, Paul Forshaw and Bryan Twist for the Eagles, Andy Turner and Steve Rathbone for Angel.
Another equal share of four goals at Leigh Avenue (Craig Faulkner, Paul Banks) in the match with Astley Villa (Andy Stevenson 2).
Union Arms romped in 4-2 against Royal Oak with doubles from Paul Valentine and Ryan Willett, answered by singles from Dave Calland and Kevin Loughlin.
In Division Two Leigh Sportsmen scored a 4-2 win against Mechanics Arms to stay clear at the top ahead of Howe Bridge Mills, who beat Fir Tree Rangers 5-4, Steve Meakin, Wayne Sankey, Andy Hughes and Jimmy Hunt 2 on target.
Black Horse also went nap, beating Atherton C&N 5-2 with goals from James Davies, Michael Langin 2, Andy Whittley and Paul Morris; on target for C&N were Ryan Shaw and Steve Harris.
Mark Broli scored twice in Britannia's 2-1 win over Brewery Inn, Dave Lyndon getting one back.
Courts smacked Atherton Royal for six, Phil Rothwell 2, Andy Hardman, Ian Burley 2 and Shaun Priest on target in a 6-1 win, Carl Barrington getting the sole reply.
