BURY West residents face a busy couple of weeks if they are keen to get involved in local issues.
The area, covering Church and Elton wards, will be the setting on Monday at 7pm for the second meeting of the Bury West Area Board.
The event will be held at Elton Primary School and will begin with 45 minutes for members of the public to put any questions they may have to councillors and council officials, as well as other agencies such as the police.
On the agenda for the meeting are issues such as the future of Brandlesholme Primary School, the need for more play areas and the possibility of the town's show ground moving to Burrs. The following week, on Tuesday November 23, Chantlers Primary School will be the venue at 7pm for the council's budget road show.
Area co-ordinator Ian McHugh said: "The aim of the road show is to explain how the council's budget is worked out, where the money is spent, spending plans for the next three years and proposals for the level of Council Tax from next April.
"We hope people will come along and give us their views, which will then be fed back to form part of an overall review of the authority's budget plans."
More information about either meeting can be obtained from Ian. He can be contacted each weekday morning at the Elton Centre on (0161) 764 6843 or alternatively by leaving a message at Bury Town Hall on (0161) 253 5107.
