PUPILS in Lytham are flying the flag for the first time at their new school.
First year boys and girls at King Edward VII and Queen Mary School attended a special ceremony to hoist the newly designed flag last week.
Principal Julian Wilde said: "The size and bold design of the flag has gone down well. It incorporates the emblems of the previous King Edward and Queen Mary schools."
The new flag now joins the school's collection of 60 state and national flags.
