Folly Lane A 22 Vine 20 A LAST-minute try dashed Vine's hopes of taking the spoils in this hard-fought clash. Folly opened the scoring with two unconverted touchdowns before the visitors hit back with a try by Fredericks. Long-range efforts by Dave Swift and Paul O'Brien, plus a goal by Swift, put Vine ahead before Folly replied with another four-pointer to make it 12-14 at the break. Vine looked to be in control when they stretched their lead early in the second half with a well-taken try by Bill Kelly, converted by Swift.
But Folly finished the stronger and after reducing the deficit with a converted try, they snatched victory in the dying minutes with another touchdown.
