CARNFORTH'S rally drivers were proclaimed champions this week. Steve Joel and Glenn Fothergill won the RSM/Diamond Products Stage Rally Series before the final round. They achieved it by powering their way through to a couple of top three finishes early in the year and consistent scoring on the other events. Joel and Glenn have been in the top three of the local Kirkby Lonsdale MC run series for a couple of years and it was a well deserved win in the yellow Longlands Hotel/T. Dixon supported Escort Mk 2.
