Forest Green Rovers 1 Morecambe 2 IF Morecambe win their three games in hand they will be joint top in the league.
That's a tribute to manager Jim Harvey who brings the best out of his players - and all on a much smaller budget than at clubs like Rushden & Diamonds.
Players like Justin Jackson who failed to set the world on fire at his other clubs but sometimes seems to score for fun for Morecambe.
Predictably it was Jackson who scored deep into injury time on Saturday to give his side three points. It was no more than Morecambe deserved against the Conference's smallest club who are languishing at the bottom of the league. Stewart Drummond knocked a good ball behind the defence for Jackson who controlled well and blasted it past Rovers' keeper.
It was Jackson who set up the first goal on 13 minutes. He burst down the left wing and hit a low cross. Perrin could only parry it and the ball fell to Niell Hardy who headed home a simple chance.
The travelling Shrimps supporters must have thought their side would go on to score a hat full - and they certainly had their chances. But they failed to take them and Forest gradually forced their way back into it. It was still a shock when Ian Hedges headed home a Jason Drysdale corner in the 68th minute.
All of a sudden Forest Green were galvanised and went all out for the win. Morecambe suffered a couple of scares - but it was no more than they deserved when Jackson had his last gasp moment of glory.
