THE St Helens and District Rounders League has bade a fond farewell to Joan Hughes, who has stepped down after 15 years as chairman.
A league spokesman commented: "Joan has worked tirelessly for rounders at both local and national level and will be missed by the league's committee and teams alike."
She is succeeded as chairman by the league's fixture scretary Kath Bridge.
