FLEET-footed youngster Claire Smith certainly knows all the right moves.
The 11-year-old dancer (pictured) of Hall Beck Close, Brandlesholme, is celebrating after beating off stiff competition to become the nationwide old time and sequence medallist of the year winner.
The Blackpool competition is the biggest event at the level at which the the St Gabriel's High School pupil dances.
And she has just notched-up even more success becoming the North West ballroom and Latin medallist of the year - which qualifies her to dance in the nationwide event next May.
The dancer is a pupil at Riches Dance Studio and one of her teachers, Mrs Julie Richardson, said: "She has been training for 12 months to compete in Blackpool. She always works very had and always does her best.
"Dancing is her whole life, it is what she lives for and we are all very proud of her at the studio."
