A 20-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed outside a Blackburn night club early today following clashes between two gangs of youths.
Police said the victim needed surgery after he suffered three stab wounds to the back and stomach.
The fight broke out at 2.15am outside Never Never Land in Market Street Lane. Police said the two gangs were from different parts of the town.
The 20-year-old was today being treated in Blackburn Royal Infirmary for three stab wounds.
Inspector Stephen Haworth, of Blackburn police, said: "It is believed the stabbing happened during a fight between rival groups of youths who live in two different parts of town.
"We are carrying out extensive inquiries into the incident."
