THE countdown for a high school's week of broadcasting has started.
Ivy Bank, Burnley, will put out news, views and music from Monday, November 22, on 107FM after gaining a second special service licence from the Radio Authority.
They spent a day on the air waves last May.
Among the highlights will be interviews with Burnley FC manager Stan Ternent and classical piano duo Sally Bishop and Anne-Marie Hastings, who have visited the school. Lancashire Evening Telegraph editor Peter Butterfield will review the morning papers on the Wednesday.
The station is also hoping to arrange a phone-in with comedy act Hinge and Bracket.
Katie Winstanley, 14, who took part in the last broadcast, is interviewing Stan Ternent. She is a Clarets fan and will be asking the manager about the day-to-day running of the football club and the problems a soccer manager faces. Katie will also edit the pre-recorded interview.
One of the school's old rehearsal rooms is being converted into a studio by local firms Potterton Myson and Lucas.
Ivy Bank development officer Michael Watson said: "The response from the business world has been superb."
The "IBFM" presenters will be: Claire Plaine, Joanne Webb, Danielle Eglin, Tracy Wilkinson, Joanne Dent, Lois Higgins, Natalie Murton, Andrew Stubbs, Jack Hartley, Ben Hampshire,Scott Summers, all aged 15, Katie Winstanley, Jill Hargreaves, Kim Jackson, all 14, Emma Burrows and Helen Campbell, both 13.
