FUNK rockers A-Jay And The Maya will prepare for their forthcoming tour of Japan by playing at a Blackburn school this week.
The band, whose frontman Ajay Srivaftava and percussionist Behzad Mokir come from Accrington, are set to play two shows at Witton High School on Thursday afternoon. Manager Alan Parker said: "The band are so amazed at how things are going. They're almost praying that someone won't come along and burst their bubble. It's like a dream."
The five-piece won their tour slot as a support act for Kula Shaker, but when Crispian Mills' band split they were asked to do the Japanese tour alone.
