RISING Pendle stars The Rubbish, fresh from their support slot with Status Quo at Wembley Arena, have announced details of a Christmas Eve show in Colne with three other East Lancashire bands.
The retro pop five-piece, fronted by singer Bruce Thomas, also appear in this month's Q magazine. A full-page advertisement shows the lads playing at this year's Bands in the Park event in Burnley.
The advert is for the Kensington Mortgage Company, which specialises in mortgages for people with unusual jobs.
The Christmas Eve show places place at Colne Municipal Hall, when The Rubbish will be joined by Pendle indie rockers Pigeon Smith, young Burnley rock act Concise and wacky Pendle favourites Walter Mitty's Head.
Tickets cost £5 and the show is expected to sell-out. Call 01282 661661.
