AN East Lancashire dairy is the cream of the crop after becoming a regional winner in the annual farming "Oscars."
Little Town Dairy, Longridge, is the North West winner in the Food From The Countryside section of the National Farmers' Union's President's Awards.
The awards, now in their second year, reward excellence in agriculture and horticulture.
The regional winners were presented with prizes at the Crofters Hotel, Garstang, and now go forward to the national finals at the NFU annual meeting in London in February.
Little Town Dairy has produced cheese and yoghurt at its Thornley site near Longridge for 30 years. Proprietor Eileen Forshaw praised her hard-working and dedicated staff and said she was very pleased with the award.
