A £4.5 million new look was coming to the Blackburn branch of Marks and Spencer.
Work had started to almost double the size of the store in King William Street. The project which would make the branch a two-storey store was due to be completed the following Easter.
It marked one of the biggest investments by a single store in Blackburn for some time.
Converted for the new archive on 14 July 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
