TODAY it is five years since our son, Glenn, had a bone marrow transplant.
The support we have received from your readers and members of the community all over Lancashire has been fantastic. We could not have done our work in raising the profile of the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust as well as we did if it was not for you and your readers.
As five years is over and Glenn seems to be in remission, we want to take this opportunity to thank you and your readers for helping us in our work to raise the profile of the trust and help find donors for other people in the same or similar life threatening circumstances.
We have been very successful raising funds and by adding to the register. To our knowledge, at least three from the people we encouraged to go on the register have been requested to be donors for other people.
Again, thank you for your continued support.
SHARON CHALLENGER (Mrs), Nares Road, Witton, Blackburn.
