POLICE have launched a murder-style inquiry after the death of a 32-year-old man following an incident outside a Todmorden nightclub.
Darren Jay, 32, from Littleborough, died at 11pm yesterday in Trafford Hospital, Manchester, after an alleged fight outside the Blue Note Night Club, Butterworth Street, in the early hours of Sunday.
There was an incident in the club which spilled out on to the street.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire police said a 35-year-old man had been arrested in Bury in connection with the incident and he was being interviewed today at Halifax Police Station.
He said police were waiting for the results of a post mortem examination.
