STUDENTS in a Nelson high school are keeping up with the news, improving literacy skills and earning bonuses, thanks to our Super Story Search classroom resource.
A daily delivery of our newspaper is going to a group of pupils in year seven at Edge End High School, who are using these to complete reading and recording tasks in their Super Story Search workbooks.
Rewards of useful equipment are earned by students as they progress through the scheme and certificates will be presented when reading targets have been achieved.
The material, suitable for pupils in KS2 and KS3, is available only from our newspaper. Further details can be obtained from NIE co-ordinator Rita Shaw, tel 01254 678678, ext 255.
Converted for the new archive on 14 July 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
