CRAIG Sargeson scored twice as Rossendale sent UniBond League First Division promotion-chasers Radcliffe crashing out of the Marsden LFA Trophy.

Three goals in the last 10 minutes gave Micky Graham's in-form side victory after they had been pegged back just after half-time.

Jim McCluskie and Jerrome Fitzgerald were missing through injury for the home side with Neil Ollerton and Shawn Bursnell coming in.

And it was Bursnell who gave Dale the lead after 20 minutes when he capitalised on some slack defending to fire home.

Andrews then made an excellent double-save to preserve the lead, but he was beaten after 58 minutes when the visitors drew level through Simon Kelly.

But Rossendale made sure of their place in the next round with a storming finish.

With 10 minutes to go, Matt Raywood, Danny Heys and Bursnell combined for Sargeson to restore the lead.

And two minutes later Sargeson made it 3-1 when he controlled the ball on the edge of the box and turned to crash home a shot.

Dale's excellent victory was then completed in the final minute when Matt Anderton marked his home debut with the fourth goal, heading home a cross from the impressive Sargeson with his first touch.
