FOLLOWING the campaign to make the Grane Road safer, one incident I witnessed left me incensed.
Two young men travelling in a white car had the misfortune to be behind two HGVs. Not having any patience, the driver decided to overtake and proceeded to cross two solid white lines.
It was only sheer luck that nothing was coming towards them otherwise (a) an awful accident would have occurred and (b) I would have missed an appointment.
Whatever is decided and put in place on the Grane Road to make things safer will never be enough until people start driving responsibly.
I am in full agreement with Albert Morris (Letters, November 10) that many of the irresponsible drivers are aged between 18 and 27 and, until they are made to drive responsibly, we will not see an end to the carnage on Lancashire's roads.
