KEN Taylor of Rossendale was the winning M50 in the South Pennine Grand Prix, a series of 12 fell races held between January and November.
Keith Masser also from Rossendale, was second M40. Neil Holding of West Pennine was the second local ahead of Keith, but was not counted as a veteran as his 40th birthday came after the first race. Thirty-four athletes completed the necessary eight races in the series, Ken Taylor was one of only three to run all 12.

John Schofield spends most weekends producing computerised race results, but on a rare day off, he set a PB at the Llandudno 10-miler. Fellow Blackburn Road Runner John Mitchell broke the 70-minute milestone for the first time since his 55th birthday, and West Pennine runner Neil Holding beat the one-hour mark. Julia Hartley dipped under 80 minutes in her first 10-mile race for Accrington Road Runners as Gill Craske set a PB.
