ROCHDALE traditionally present strong mini and youth sides and these visiting teams were no exception as Blackburn's squads lacked several players, most were actively involved with Remembrance Day duties.
BLACKBURN TIGERS v ROCHDALE Under-10's
ROCHDALE opened their account in the first half with a well worked forwards try by captain Dominic Maclean.
Blackburn equalised with Joseph Holden (fly half) who ran in a superb 25-yard try.
In the second half, the game was level with Blackburn's man of the match Calvin Ferguson going close.
In the last few seconds of the match, Rochdale scored a thrilling breakaway try down the blind side with James Mellick touching down.
The Tigers were captained by Ben Roberts and Ben Jones (scrum half), James York (wing), Michael Smallbone (forward), Scott Riley (centre), Tom Woodward (centre) and Sam Fox (forward), all did well.
BLACKBURN PANTHERS/PUMAS v ROCHDALE Under-11's
WITH only two Under-11's available to play this week, the squad comprised a majority of Under-10's players.
This game was convincingly won by Rochdale's five tries to two, however, there were exceptional performances Edward Holden and new player Tom Libberton. Greg Nyhan Under-11's coach said: "I am very keen to get more new players to join the Under-11's squad and would welcome inquires from new players who may be interested in playing mini rugby."

BLACKBURN Under-12's v ROCHDALE Under-12's
SUNDAY'S visitors, contributed to a fast and open game of rugby with both sides concentrating on handling.
Blackburn, captained by prop Kyle Pilkington, started on the back foot a converted try.
Blackburn continued to press and they continued their good work in the second half.
Wing Jonathon Walmsley scored an unconverted opening try for Blackburn.
Man of the match Ed Stockton and second row partner Stuart Donaghue kept Blackburn in the match.
Adam Taylor avoided a couple of tackles to score a try which was converted by Jonathon Walmsley with about two minutes remaining to give his side a well-deserved 12-7 win.
ST HELENS Under-15's v BLACKBURN Under-15's
BLACKBURN took the lead in the first half after Dominic Moon and Mike Dixon recycled the ball for Johnathon Leach to score under the posts.
The second half was evenly balanced until the final minute when St Helens capitalised on a lucky bounce and ran in a converted try.
NEXT MATCHES - Sunday, November: All minis squads including the Under-12's - away at Preston Grasshoppers. Meet at the club 9.30am (coach to Preston leaves at 9.45am).
Under-14's, 15's and Colts are at home to Kirby Lonsdale (11am kick-offs). Meet at the club 10.30am.
