LANCASHIRE Lynx kick off their new season with a prickly Roses clash at home to Bramley on Boxing Day.
Once again, Lynx have been relegated from Deepdale and sent to Chorley's Victory Park, which will be their base for the season.
However, this opening game could be subject to a change of date as Lynx are concerned about the effects on attendance if it clashes with the glamourous Wigan v St Helens match.
One thing will remain steadfast - the team's determination to beat last season's disappointing performance.
Boss Steve Hampson said: "These lads are back in training and we are hungry for the new challenge."
And there could be several new faces in the pack before the opening game.
Hampson added: "I have seen a list of who is available and there are a few names which interest me.
"We have the foundation of an excellent squad, with nine or 10 good players, but we do need to strengthen to give us more depth.
"That is the only way to progress and I don't want a repeat of last year when we had little cover for injuries."
