ONCE again Greenhill Bowling Club have put together another exciting programme of events and for the new millennium there are even bigger and better prizes.
Four major open tournaments will dominate the scene from April to September, and there is an event to suit everyone including singles, doubles and mini team competitions.
The opening sweep is the NT Leisure Mixed Doubles which gets under way on April 8 and continues on Saturday evenings until final night on May 6.
Choice of date for first and second rounds include April 15, 22 and 29.
This competition is limited to 32 pairs and entry fee is £8 per team.
The John Smith's Four-man Team tournament also starts in April and is played on Sunday evenings through to finals night on Sunday, July 30.
Opening sessions are on April 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28 and June 4 and 11 with a return one either June 18, 25 or July 2 and 23.
Entries are limited to 32 teams and entrance fee is £15 per team.
The annual Thwaites Open Doubles will be played on Saturday evenings May 13, 20, 27 and June 3 followed by final night June 10. Again entries are limited to 32 pairs and entry fee is £8 per pair.
THE Thwaites Open Singles competition follows the pairs event on Saturday evenings and there is a choice of date for opening rounds.
Dates available are June 17 and 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and August 5 with returns on August 12 or 19 followed by final night on August 26.
All singles will be 31 up games of five start and entries are llimited to 64 competitors with £8 entry fee.
