GOOD early season form has led to a county call up for young rugby players from a Lytham school.
Four U16s players from King Edward VII and Queen Mary School in Lytham have been selected for the North Lancashire squad to meet sides from Merseyside and from Greater Manchester in November.
Scrum half Thomas Eastham, forwards Daniel Glynn and Matthew Kidd and centre Harry Gregory all performed well in the recent trials.
Their school coach Steve Williams feels that they have deserved their success and said: "All the boys have been working hard on both their fitness and their technical skills."
"They appreciate that playing for the full county side is an honour and also a great challenge but each of them is very determined."
