Woolston 8 Bold Miners 22 BOLD, with only 12 men, produced a great cup victory.
They went straight on the attack and after a good break by Chris Burgess, D Scott scored a converted try. Good work from Nick Joseph and Chris Keen set up a try for Chris Tarbuck, converted by D Anders. Just on half time lack of numbers on the left side let Woolston's left winger in for a converted try.
Great defence from Bold kept Woolston out after the break and a great pass from Chris Anders sent Ste Perry in at the corner. A penalty from Woolston made the score 16-8. A late try from D Anders sealed the match for Bold.
Grundy's Excavations man of the match went to D Anders. Best for Bold were Dave Scott, Nick Joseph, Ricky Mayor and Chris Keen.
