Blackpool Scorpions 4 Haresfinch 58 FINCH put their disappointing league form behind them to coast to victory over their Division Four opponents in this North West Counties Challenge Cup tie.
Twelve tries - six in each half - emphasised Finch's superiority over a plucky Blackpool side who manage only a solitary touchdown in reply.
John Jackson and Kel Gearing led the visitors' scoring spree with a hat-trick of tries apiece, others coming from Chris Mason, Anthony Seabrook, Dave Meadows, Karl Farrall, Ste Richards and Wayne Sumner. Seabrook added five goals.
Second-row John Woods was voted Franco's Wholesale Ltd. man-of-the-match for Finch for a non-stop display of powerful running, closely followed by prop Danny Flynn and full-back Dave Penny.

The Finch youngsters produced a superb team performance to completely outplay their plucky opponents.
Chris Highcock grabbed a hat-trick of tries, with strong-running centre Paul Martlew also crossing and full-back Ste Anders adding three goals as the visitors built up a 22-0 half-time lead.
After the break St Annes tried to hit back but they could only breach a rock-solid defence once and Finch held on to record an impressive victory.
This Sunday Finch are at home to Leigh Miners Rangers in the first round of the Lancashire Cup, kick-off 11.30am.
