ST HELENS Hockey Club ended Congleton's 12-month unbeaten run with a 3-2 victory at Ruskin Drive on Saturday. Star of the show was Mark Alcock, who claimed a hat-trick. Meanwhile, St Helens Ladies earned a 2-2 draw at home to Formby. The men's second team won 6-4 at Prescot on Sunday, despite having only seven players. Their scorers were Mark Pendlebury (3), Phil Travis (2) and Mark Alcock.
