A SWARM of wasps and a naked lady are fighting for Hindley Green.
On November 28 they will gather to voice their disapproval of Wigan Council's decision to build on Belvedere Farm.
More than 1,000 people objected to plans to develop farmland for housing, and now an appeal has gone in to the High Court against the planning decision.
John Vickers, chairman of WASP (Wildlife and Social Preservation On The Green) said: "People in Hindley Green were disappointed, but not surprised, by the decision to ignore their views in the largest protest the borough has ever seen.
"However, the 1,000 voices Wigan chose to ignore will not go away. The real fight to save our quality of life has just begun."
Manchester Airport's Eco Warriors will be there, including the naked treetop lady and leading protesters plus environmental campaigner Chris Maile and Manchester Green Party leader Vanessa Hall.
They will descend on the site off Carr Common Road/Corner Lane on November 28.
Jugglers and stiltwalkers will be there along with protest advisers, recycling experts and tree climbers.
