LOCAL people are being encouraged to "shop" drink drivers to the police this Christmas.
The police have set up a number so that people can report drink drivers, anonymously if they wish.
Part of the Drink Link Scheme, it will run alongside high-profile roadside check points.
A spokesman said: "We'd like to hear from anyone who may have information about people who drink and drive. The more detailed the information the better, for example the make and model of car, registration number is possible with the day, time and location where the offence usually takes place."
The number is 0800 555 111.
