TWO lorries overturned in identical accidents two days running on Morecambe's roads this week.
The accidents occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. In both cases the drivers were taken to hospital but their injuries were not considered serious.
On Wednesday at 7.20am a Scania wagon overturned at a roundabout on Mellishaw Lane. The 30-year-old driver had minor head injuries. Traffic was held up while firefighters removed the window so paramedics could treat the driver. On Tuesday traffic was held up all morning after a lorry overturned near the roundabout next to McDonalds on Morecambe Road. The 24-year-old driver of that vehicle was also taken to the RLI for a check up to a shoulder injury but was later discharged.
