HARD work and dedication has paid off for staff at TNT Ramsbottom.
For they have learned the company has won the 1999 Investors in People Outstanding Practice Award.
Competing against more than 100 other businesses, TNT was chosen as the winner of the Outstanding Practice category.
The award recognises the company's commitment to systematic training and development programmes for nearly 3,000 drivers and warehouse staff.
TNT Ramsbottom depot general manager, Eddie O'Donnell said: "We work hard to train and develop our people, so it's a great pleasure to see these efforts recognised by this latest Investors in People (IIP)Award.
"By applying IIP principles, we are able to maintain the tremendous culture of enthusiasm and success which exists throughout TNT."
He added: "IIP also helps us offer our staff first class opportunities for career development which in turn provides high levels of satisfaction for our customers in the local business community."
