A HARD-hitting message about the symptoms of meningitis will be sent to child carers across the borough.
At the next meeting of the Bury branch Professional Association of Nursery Nurses, (PANN) nursery nurses, nannies and child carers across Bury and the Greater Manchester area will be told about dealing with meningitis in young children.
The open meeting on Thursday (November 25) aims to raise awareness about detecting the symptoms early and what action to take if a child has any of them.
Ms Samantha Gallagher, nursery nurse training and development at the National Meningitis Trust, will be the guest speaker.
The trust itself has launched a 12-month pilot scheme to train carers throughout the country.
The meeting will be at Bury Sports Club, Radcliffe Road, Bury, at 7pm
