GIRL band Bliss could be heading for the big time after a TV appearance on Channel 4s The Big Breakfast.
The trio were invited to perform a record which members of Viva Studios, in Padiham, wrote as an anthem for Scottish footballers for Euro '96.
Because of the Scotland v England match at Wembley, the girls were asked on to the breakfast show on Wednesday and invited back on Thursday for a repeat performance.
An updated re-recorded version of the song, with new lyrics entitled Join The Blissful Army was performed in front of millions of TV viewers and now the girls are hoping to sign a record deal.
Bliss comprises 16-year-olds Abigail Jackson, Marie Atkinson and Laura Heyworth. Marie is a former pupil at Ivy Bank High School, Burnley, and Abigail and Laura are ex-Habergham High students. Viva Studios, Burnley Road, is run by partners Paul Marks, Mark Whitehead and Mark Nuttall.
Mark Nuttall said: "We write songs and get groups like Bliss to record them and add their own input and choreography.
"We think Bliss are the most talented trio we have had through our doors and we are waiting for the phone to ring and a major record company to sing them up.
"The song is a bit Chumbawamba-ish and the girls have great talent, charisma and personality."
After their TV appearance the teenagers rushed back to Burnley to play a concert at Ivy Bank High School.
Development officer Michael Watson said: "Marie offered to do the concert because Ivy Bank's radio station was the first to play the group's single One Sweet High.
The girls' performance was recorded for Ivy Bank FM which goes on air again from Monday.
