SCOOTER club members could be motoring on to national television, if a Burnley businessman has his way.
Steve Rigg, of TV production firm Unit Video Productions, filmed the annual rally from Burnley to Morecambe by members of Burnley and Pendle Scooter Club in the hope of getting the footage on screens in homes across the country.
About 30 riders set off from the Park View pub, Burnley, on Saturday to join another 50 riders at Preston.
The convoy then went on to the seaside resort to enjoy a concert by Edwin Starr at the Empire Theatre, before heading for home yesterday. Club member Gary Scully said: "It was an absolutely brilliant weekend. There must have been 4,000 enthusiasts from all over the country.
"It was the last one of the millennium, so we wanted to do something special. Steve hired a special purpose-built vehicle so he could film us en route and he did interviews and other pieces at Morecambe. He's hoping to sell it on so it can be shown on TV."
