Harry's Stable Whispers
THE National Hunt season has not really got off to a good start, with very small fields spoiling it for punters.
I am sure this has a lot to do with the ground conditions, trainers not taking chances with their horses and will wait until the softer conditions arrive.
All weather flat racing is the opposite.
Not many horses seem to be taking their winter rest and instead of three or four all-weather meetings a week in the lower grade of flat racing, they would still produce full cards if there was eight to ten meetings a week.
A horse I have been very impressed with on the gallops is Dainty Dish.
We have entered her a couple of times a week and cannot get a race.
Although she needs seven furlongs we have entered her over five and six but with no luck.
Put Dainty Dish into your note book. Tomorrow Blue Moon should go very close at Hexham, while on Thursday Windross has got to be the nap of the week.
On Friday at Lingfield Virgin Soldier can win the Apprentice Handicap, to make it seven wins in his last seven runs.
Also on Friday A P McCoy should win on Deano's Beano for Martin Pipe.
At Newbury on Saturday Silver Wedge, who was very impressive first time out, should win again.
Have a good week.
TIPS FOR THE WEEK
Wednesday: Hexham - Blue Moon (nap)
Thursday: Uttoxeter - Windross (nap)
Friday: Bangor - Deano's Beano (nap); Lingfield - Virgin Soldier
