EAST Lancashire's greenies have less than a month to enter this year's Grimewatch competition.
The contest, run by the Lancashire Evening Telegraph in conjunction with the Tidy Britain Group, Groundwork, British Aerospace and the Environment Agency, rewards the efforts of all those who work to make East Lancashire a cleaner, greener place to live.
This year's competition has attracted more than 110 entries, from schools, businesses, community groups, local authorities and individuals.
All kinds of green projects are represented, from waste reduction strategies in industry to landscaping schemes for public land.
If you have registered for the competition, you only have until December 10 to get your final entry in.
The more information you can supply the judges with about your project, the better chance you will have of winning a prestigious Grimewatch award.
If you haven't registered yet, there is still time - but you will have to be quick.
Ring the Grimewatch line on 01254 678678 ext 244 if you would like an entry form or if you need help putting your final entry together.
You can also get a form by sending an e-mail to vcowan@lancashire.newsquest.co.uk or a fax to 01254 680429.
Judging takes place in January and the winners will be announced in March at a ceremony at Moorland High School, Darwen.
