SHOPKEEPERS and police are joining forces to beat criminals operating in the Mill Hill area of Blackburn.
Store owners in the centre of Mill Hill have complained to police about an increase in thefts and crime in the area.
There is also growing concern about the numbers of youths causing problems in the area.
Police and the local shopkeepers have set up a ring-round system in a bid to keep the troublemakers at bay.
If there is any sign of trouble or shoplifters then the businesses contact each other and the police.
Anyone interested in joining up for the scheme should contact Teresa Gornall on 01254 59257 or Blackburn's Community Safety Department on 01254 353554.
