A LUCKY family from Blackburn were thanking their bank manager after winning a brand new car.
And Karen Fenton has been given the keys to the new car but has had to hand them over to husband Andrew because she does not even drive.
Karen won the Citroen Saxo after her name was entered in a nationwide draw organised by her bank Lloyds TSB.
Karen filled in a survey sent to her by the bank and her name was chosen at random from thousands of entries.
She said: "It took some time for the news to sink in and I am still overwhelmed.
"In fact I sent my husband to the bank to double-check before I fully realised I had won. I am thrilled."
Jim Moseley, senior manager at the Church Street Branch in Blackburn, said: "I am absolutely delighted that this prize has gone to Mrs Fenton even though she will need to be chauffeured by her husband as she does not drive herself.
"Her name was drawn at random from all those customers across the country who returned a customer service questionnaire."
Thousands of surveys are sent out every year and the bank are planning to hand out a new car in a similar competition next year.
