TEENAGE vandals were wreaking thousands of pounds worth of damage to a refurbished railway station.
British Transport police were stepping up patrols at Darwen in a bid to catch the gangs in the act. The wrecking spree followed similar attacks at Hapton station.
Police said residents living next to Darwen station had been too frightened to tackle the yobs.
